I'm rewatching the dvd box set.
It has stood the test of time, it's still excellent.
Written by the same blokes who did The Likely Lads, Porridge etc.
Wayne was the weak link though imo.
Poor casting.

Fucking excellent the whole lot of it, can watch it over and over, and if it hasn't dated it's because we still have the same way of thinking which won't please the woke mob.
Simple but effective.
I also struggle with Bomber at times Len as a character in it.

He was alright.
I always found Wayne's "ladies man" bit quite silly, cos he was an ugly, skinny, annoying little cunt who'd never be able to pull owt.

Not an issue as such just struggled with his gentle giant part at times Len.....still liked him just wanted his character to be a bit more aggressive more often.

Quality 1st series.
Great blend of characters.
Subsequent series deteriorated gradually but still watchable.
Gary Holton went to school with my father-in-law and was on stage with him at the end of his ‘This is your Life’
